
Paolo Carignani - conductor
With a vast repertory spans from Donizetti to Puccini, Rossini to Strauss and
Verdi, Paolo Carignani has collaborated with the world's most prestigious
theatres, such as the Wiener Staatsoper, Berliner Staatsoper and Deutsche Oper
Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper, Royal Opera House-Covent Garden, Opéra National
in Paris, Zurich Opernhaus, Concertgebouw and Royal Opera House in Amsterdam,
Metropolitan Opera in New York, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, and opera
houses in Brussels, Antwerp and Oslo as well as Italy's major opera houses.
Paolo Carignani has just gained great success conducting Guillaume Tell
in Amsterdam and La Traviata in Vienna.
His future
plans for 2013 include: Nabucco at the Wiener Staatsoper; Il
Trovatore, Falstaff, Otello at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich;
Otello in Zurich; Rigoletto in Strasbourg; Giovanna d’Arco at
the Salzburg Festival. In the next seasons he will also conduct: Tosca,
Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci, Andrea Chénier and La
Fanciulla del West at the Wiener Staatsoper; Tosca at the Gran Teatre
del Liceu in Barcelona; Le Villi with the Orchestre National de France in
Paris; L’Amico Fritz in Strasbourg; La Traviata, Nabucco,
Il Trovatore, Norma, Macbeth at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich;
Carmen in Toronto; Les Vepres Siciliennes in Copenaghen; Pagliacci
at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; a series of symphonic concerts with the
Orchestra Regionale Toscana in Florence. Paolo Carignani will be engaged in
important productions at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. On the concert side
Mr Carignani will be engaged in series of concerts in Florence, and in Tokio
with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra.
